Nestled in the heart of Utrecht lies Moira, a hidden cultural gem known for its retro basement venue— a stage where unforgettable and unique musical moments come to life.

One of those moments happened on a Wednesday open mic night in 2022, when three musicians crossed paths for the first time at an open mic that changed everything. That night was the spark that ignited the creation of Red Oak Troubadours. Yes, you read that right. Without Moira, our band may never have come to be!

So, to honor the venue where their journey began, we are returning to Moira for a night of folky merrymaking and a little troublemaking. This show is set to be extra special as we’ll be joined by Isabel Martinez, a talented Portuguese folk musician and multi-instrumentalist. Isabel will bring her magical touch to the evening, playing bagpipes, flute, adúfe, traditional percussion. Together, we’ll present our full Portuguese repertoire, inspired by traditional Portuguese songs reimagined in the signature style of Red Oak Troubadours.

But the night doesn’t stop there! Following us on stage will be the Bayka Band, another lively local act from Utrecht. Known for their vibrant and catchy blend of soul, jazz swing, rock, and Balkan gypsy vibes that surely will result in lots of dancing bodies on the dancefloor.
